Wasini Island and the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park are on Kenya\u2019s far south coast, near the Tanzanian border. The reefs here are among the best known on the Kenyan coast for snorkelling and diving, and the area is a popular full-day trip from Diani. This trip is built around the diving, with guided dives from a boat and time on Wasini Island for lunch.<\/p>\n
You are collected from your hotel early in the morning for the drive to Shimoni. From there a boat takes you out to the marine park. Certified divers join one or two guided dives, depending on the plan, and beginners can do an introductory dive with an instructor after a short briefing. In between there is time to rest on the boat, and the day usually includes lunch on Wasini Island before the boat returns to Shimoni and the drive back to Diani.<\/p>\n

Certified divers should bring their certification card and log book. Beginners complete a short medical questionnaire and briefing before an introductory dive.
