Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, is known for its large elephant herds and open landscapes. This safari starts at your Diani hotel and takes you inland by road, with two nights near the park and a full day of game drives in between.<\/p>\n
Day one is mainly a driving day: an early start from Diani, the Mombasa\u2013Nairobi highway through the Tsavo region, and arrival at your lodge or camp, with a game drive in the afternoon if time allows. Day two is a full day in Amboseli, with morning and afternoon game drives. Day three is the drive back to the coast, usually arriving in the evening. Timings depend on traffic and the route.<\/p>\n
Elephants are the highlight, along with buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hippo in the swamps and a large number of birds. Kilimanjaro is often hidden by cloud during the day and is most likely to show in the early morning or evening. Sightings and views are never guaranteed.<\/p>\n
