After an early pickup and the drive to the Sala or Buchuma gate, the morning is spent game viewing across Tsavo East’s open, red-earth plains \u2014 look for elephant tinted rust-red by the soil, buffalo, giraffe and, with good fortune, lion. Around midday you stop at a lodge inside the park for a hot lunch, then continue with an afternoon drive toward the Galana River and, conditions allowing, Lugard Falls, before the drive back to the coast.<\/p>\n
